Engr. Prof. John Ade Ajayi

Engr. Prof. John Ade Ajayi, C.eng. fnse, fnms Three-fold Engineer Chairman, Royal Tech International Ltd.

Engr. Prof. John Ade Ajayi holds Diploma in Mining Practice of the Federal School of Mines, Jos. He attended University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile – Ife, University of Lagos, Lagos and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained B.Sc. (Metallurgical & Materials Engineering), M.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) and Ph.D. (Metallurgical Engineering) respectively.

He started his career in the then Ministry of Mines and Power on November 12, 1973 as Sub-Inspector of Mines. He was an Assistant Technical Officer (Mines), Technical Officer (Mines) and Research Officer I (Mines) in Lagos, Kaduna, Jos and Kano Mines Offices/ Federal School of Mines, Jos of the Ministry till 1993. He took up appointment with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi as Lecturer I and promoted to Senior Lecturer, Department of Mechanical/Production Engineering between 1993 and 1997. He joined Federal University of Technology, Akure as Senior Lecturer, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 1997 and became Associate Professor in 2000. He was appointed Professor and Head of Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure from 2003 to 2006. He is presently a Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Akure. Prof. John Ade Ajayi is fully registered with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria [COREN]. He is a Fellow of, Nigerian Society of Engineers [NSE] and also a Fellow, Nigerian Metallurgical Society. He is a Corporate Member, Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society and also Corporate Member, Nigerian Society of Mining Engineers.

His national assignments include National President, Nigerian Metallurgical Society, 2013 - 2014; Member, Governing Council, Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna; Chairman, Search Team for AFIT Provost; Member, Selection Board for AFIT Provost and crafted the Pioneering AFIT Strategic Plan: 2011-2015. He was also a member of National Committee for Review of Draft of Mining Regulations; Council Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers; Board Member, Engineering Practice & Resource Development Ltd; Resource Person Training and Development of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE); Resource Person/Member, Task Team for the Development of E-Learning Training Modules for Federal Civil Servants and Member, NSE Presidential Committee on Iron and Steel. The widely travelled and prolific scholar has been Chairman/member of COREN and the National Universities Commission for the accreditation of Engineering Programmes in various universities: Federal, State and Private. In addition, he is an External Examiner to a number of institutions. He was Visiting Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ibadan, (October 2006 to September 2007). He was an Editor-In-Chief of Federal University of Technology, Akure Journal of Engineering and Engineering Technology (FUTAJEET).

His areas of competencies include human resources management - leadership development, solid mineral resources development, research and development in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy technology, foundry technology, engineering failure analysis, and strategic planning. He represented Nigeria at International Engineering Conferences; Tanzania in 2000 and Egypt in 2008 and an awardee of various honours, prizes and professional achievements from institutions and professional bodies.

MICHAEL ADEDOKUN ADEGBITE
Innovative Engineer and Strategic Leader Coordinator (Technology-Based Consultancy & Training) – Royal Tech International Ltd.

Dr. Michael Adedokun Adegbite specializes in performance of welded joints in a wide variety of service environments. In his Ph.D research studies at Cranfield University, United Kingdom, he designed and successfully deployed a novel submerged jet impingement target for evaluation of flow accelerated preferential weld corrosion of linepipe steel in offshore applications. Other research interests include utilization of materials, QA / QC of engineering components / infrastructure and, learning and development.

Dr. Adegbite is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Member of Nigerian Metallurgical Society, Nigerian Institute of Welding, Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Society for Non-destructive Testing, Welding and Joining Society (The Welding Institute), United Kingdom and National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), USA. He is also a Youth Ambassador for Peace, Universal Peace Federation and Youth Federation for World Peace.

Engr. Dr. M. A. Adegbite was the co-ordinator (2005 to 2011) of the National Centre for Non-Destructive Testing and Country (Nigerian) Representative for International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Project (RAF/8/043) - Promoting Self-reliance and Sustainability of Non-destructive Testing Facilities. He had also served in a number of technical teams on various specialized projects / consultancies, particularly in the oil and gas facilities, manufacturing and welding / inspection skills development. He is a resource person to the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for the accreditation of Technical Programme (Welding and Fabrication Technology). In addition, he is an External Examiner to a number of institutions including University of Ghana.

Engr. Dr. Adedokun Adegbite is a recipient of many awards and prizes. These include Excellent Contribution Award, Society of Petroleum Engineers in 2008 and Exceptional Leadership Award, Nigeria Society of Engineers (2011).

Engr. Gilbert Danshariya Asa Tsaro attended Federal Government College Warri, Delta State, graduating with Division 1 Distinction in West African School Certificate in 1979. He enrolled at School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for ‘A’ Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and passed out in 1980. He then proceeded to Camborne School of Mines, Comborne, Cornwall, United Kingdom and graduated with B.Sc. (Hons) in Mineral Processing in 1983. He also attended Alliance Francaise de Kaduna for Certificat D’Etudes Francaises and obtained the Certificat Elementaire de Francais Pratique in 1993. He acquired Diploma in Data Processing from Federal College of Education, Okene in 1997.

After his National Youth Service with Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna in 1984, he was employed as Assistant Lecturer II in Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna, from 1984 – 1985. He joined Ashaka Cement Co. Ltd. in Gombe State as Trainee Production Engineer on probation in May, 1985, was confirmed after a record six months and promoted to the rank of Chemical Engineer with effect from 1st December 1985. Engr Tsaro was further promoted to the rank of Senior Chemical Engineer on 1st December, 1986. He joined National Metallurgical Development Centre, Jos as Mineral Processing Engineer I from 1988 to 1990. From 1990 to 1992, he went back to Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna as Lecturer I. Engr. Tsaro took up appointment with National Iron Ore Mining Co. Ltd., Itakpe as Principal Mineral Process Engineer from 1992 to 1996. He was Assistant Manager (Mineral Processing) at Itakpe from 1996 to 2003. He later became Manager (Operations) from 2003 to 2011 and then Assistant General Manager (Operations) and Technical Assistant to the Sole Administrator, from 2012 to 2013. He joined Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences (NIMG), Jos, as Assistant Director (Research) in February 2014 and he is presently the Acting Deputy Director (Training & Research).

His relevant experiences include: Implementation of Corporate Production Business Plans, Co-ordination and Supervision of all Production Operations, Staff Training, Development of Safety Systems, Performance Appraisal and Maintenance of Discipline in the Processing Plant of National Iron Ore Mining firm Ltd. Itakpe; Team Leader for the production of the First-ever Indigenous Iron Ore Super Concentrate (68%Fe) from Itakpe Iron Ore Deposit, using facilities at both National Metallurgical Development Centre, (NMDC). Jos and School of Mines, Jos from 1989 to 1990. Engr. Tsaro is responsible for the successful planning and execution of all the training activities of the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences, Jos, conducting lectures in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy and Cement Production Technology for PGD Minerals Engineering students and other professional short duration courses.

His national assignments include participation on a Ministerial Committee for the Assessment of Level of Completion of the Contract for the Rehabilitation of Beneficiation Plant Line 2 at NIOMCO Ltd., participation in a National Critique Workshop for Development of Curriculum for Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mineral Processing, organized by National Board for Technical Education, Kaduna in 1990. He also participated in the Mineral Resources Engineering Programme Curriculum Review Workshop held at NBTE/TVET Centre of Excellence under the auspices of Centre of Excellence for Solid Minerals Research and Development, Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna and National Board for Technical Education, Kaduna in 2013. His areas of competencies include Training, Research and Development in Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy Technology and Troubleshooting in Process Plants.

Prof. Labunmi Lajide

PROF. LABUNMI LAJIDE
(World Class Scientist and Inventor) Accomplished Scientist: Professor of Chemistry - Natural Products – Royal Tech International Ltd.

Young Labunmi started his secondary education at Ogbomosho Grammar School, Ogbomosho in 1965 and completed it at Federal Government College, Sokoto in 1971. He proceeded for his higher school certificate programme in the same school and completed it in 1973. In 1974, Labunmi Lajide gained admission into University of Ibadan, Nigeria to study Chemistry and graduated with Second Class Upper Division in 1977. In 1980, he travelled abroad to study Chemistry at the Australian National University, Canberra and bagged his PhD in 1984.

In 1985, Dr. Labunmi Lajide started his career as Lecturer II in the Department of Chemistry of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria. He was promoted to the rank of Lecturer I in the University in 1987. In 1989, Dr. Labunmi Lajide travelled to Japan where he was a Senior Research Associate with the Research Development Corporation of Japan where he spent four years. The exceptional prolific researcher returned from Japan to join the services of the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria in 1993 as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry. Between 1993 and 1996, he was promoted to the rank of a Reader. By the year 1999, Dr. Labunmi Lajide was elevated to the pinnacle of his career as a Professor of Chemistry (Natural Products).

Professor Labunmi Lajide belongs to many scholarly organization and professional bodies where he plays active roles. These include Science Association of Nigeria, Chemical Society of Nigeria and Society of Bioscience, Biotechnology and Agro Chemistry. He is also a member of Entomological Society of Nigeria and Institute of Public Analyst of Nigeria. Besides, he is a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria and Life member, International Society of Chemical Ecology, Japan.

The research interests and area of competencies of this distinguished Professor of Chemistry include the following:
(i) Investigation into biologically active plant natural products/biopolymers that may function as pharmaceuticals, antimicrobials, agrochemicals, antifeedants (anti-insects).
(ii) Isolation, characterization and synthesis of bioactive organic molecules.
(iii) Investigation into potential sources of raw materials for pulp and paper industries.
(iv) Bioaccumulation studies on fresh and marine water environment.
(v) Soil and water analysis.
(vi) Pesticide residues
(vii) Solid waste management: production of value added material from wastes.
(viii) Plant-derived frothers and collector in froth flotation studies.

The rising profile of Professor Labunmi Lajide, a world class Scholar, an inventor and silent achiever speaks for itself:
(i) In 1971, at Government Secondary School, Biliri (Formerly ECWA/SIM Secondary School, Gombe State, Nigeria), he was on the first place Honours Roll for the 1971.
(ii) He was a Federal Government of Nigeria Scholar: Chemistry between 1974 and 1977.
(iii) Between 1975 and 1977, he was a University Of Ibadan Scholar.
(iv) The doyen of chemistry was a commonwealth Scholar at the Australian National University between 1980 - 1984.
The research breakthroughs and inventions of Professor Labunmi Lajide include the following:

(ii) Pulp from non-woody plants and lignocellulosic wastes.
(iii) Modified biomaterials for industrial applications.

Accomplished Accountant and Lawyer: Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria firm Secretary/Legal Adviser - Royal Tech International Ltd.

John Lawyer Ejeheri, HND, FCA, LLB (Hons), LLM, BL is an accomplished chartered accountant and a barrister at law. He graduated from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu in 1977 with HND in Accounting. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He graduated from University of Jos with LLB (Hons) and LLM degrees in 2000 and 2006 respectively. He attended the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in the year 2002.

He has served as a Legal Auditor and Adviser to various organizations in areas covering Corporate Structure Audit, Labour Law/Employment Law, Audit and Regulatory Compliance Audit. He has served as an honorary Auditor of the Jos District Society of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also as its Chairman in 2005. He was a member of the Technical, Research and Public Policy Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He has also served as External Auditor to various organizations both in the public and private sectors including Plateau State Health Services Management Board, Jos; Lake Chad Research Institute, Maiduguri and National Institute for Fresh Water Fisheries Research, New Bussa. In addition, he has served as firm Secretary for various organizations including Domtech Nigeria Ltd. and Executive Guards Limited.

John Ejeheri has practised as a Chartered Accountant, Tax and Legal Consultant providing a complete range of audit, accounting and legal services to an extremely broad range of clients. Such services cover the whole spectrum of professional, commercial and industrial activities. His special competencies include Auditing, Investigation, Taxation and as Legal Consultant/Adviser to corporate organizations.

As an active member of the Haggai Institute Jos Chapter, he has served as a facilitator in its Advanced Leadership Training/Seminar organized on a yearly basis. He was a past Chairman of the Institute for five years – 2011 to 2015. He is an Alumnus of the Haggai Institute Advanced Leadership Training, Singapore in 2006. He doubles as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has won various awards and prizes in his services to the professions and humanity. He had an award as a Distinguished ICAN Jos District Society Chairman in 2005 and as an Effective and Valuable Resource Person in Training.

Professor Eghosa Osagie (World-Class Economist) Adviser – Royal Tech International Ltd.

Prof. Eghosa Osagie graduated from Pomona College, Claremont, California U.S.A. in 1965 with B.A. Economics. He also obtained M.A. Economics in 1966 from University of California, Berkeley, and Ph.D. Economics from University of California, Los Angeles, U.S.A. in 1971.

His scholarships and fellowship programs include African Scholarship Programme for American Universities (ASPAU) for undergraduate education: 1962 – 1965 and Ford Foundation Fellowship for Postgraduate Education: 1968 – 1971. He was on one month workshop on Mathematical Economics at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy, 1978, and Resident Scholar at the Rockefeller Foundation Study and Conference Centre, Bellagio, Lako Como, Italy, 1982. He was also on World Bank-Sponsored Study Seminar on Structural Adjustment Programmes in Sub-Saharan African Countries at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, at Brighton, England July – August, 1986.

This world-class economist has considerable research and consultancy experience. He has 45 years post Ph.D experience and has prolifically published in various disciplines of economics which include international trade, international finance, structural adjustment programme, economic policy analysis, revenue mobilization and the exchange rate.

Professor Eghosa Osagie’s consultancy experience is global. He was a Consultant to UNIDO, UNDP, ECA, OAU. In Nigeria, he was a Consultant to Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and National Economic Intelligence Committee on the formulation of the medium term economic recovery programme, among others.

He was a Research Fellow, Nigerian Institute of Economic and Social Research (NISER) University of Ibadan, 1966 – 1973. He later became Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Ibadan from 1973 – 1980. He was Head of Department of Economics at University of Jos and later Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. As a result of his vast experience and versatility, he was appointed Director of Research, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Plateau State and later became Director of Studies of the Institute in 1999. He was appointed Vice Chancellor, Benson Idahosa University, Benin City from 2002 to 2006.

Prof. E. Osagie was Chairman, Technical Working Group, Financial Sector, Vision 20: 2020. He is currently lecturing at Postgraduate level, research and community development. He is recognized by the Union of International Association (UIA) in Who is Who in international organization.

AVM Adekunle Awarun (Rtd.) attended Titcombe College Egbe, 1971; Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, 1974; and Royal Air Force Basic Supply Officers’ Course in the United Kingdom, 1976. He also attended Skills and Technique of Training, Supply and Material Management course with the Crown Agents in England, 1981. The distinguished military officer holds Advanced Diploma in Operational Research from University of Lagos, Nigeria (1996) and Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the University of Ibadan (2003).

AVM Adekunle Awarun’s first appointment in the Nigerian Air Force was a Supply Officer, Nigeria Air Force Flying Training Group, Kano from 1977 to 1979. He was deployed to the Technical Training Group, Nigerian Air Force Kaduna as an Instructor in the Logistics Management School from May 1979 to December 1983. He was also a Training Officer with the Senior Non-Commission Officers’ Academy, Administrative Services Training Group Kaduna from 1986 to 1989. Thereafter, he became the Commanding Officer, Logistics Management School, Technical Training School, Kaduna from 1990 to 1993. From there, he was deployed to the Headquarters Air Force as Staff Officer Grade One, Petroleum and Transportation from September 1993 to April 1997. Awarun, then a Group Captain was appointed the Command Supply Officer at Headquarters Logistics Command, Ikeja from 1997 to 1998 and was later saddled with the Directorship of Supply at the Headquarters, Nigeria Air Force.

AVM A. Awarun (Rtd) is a recipient of Force Service Star (fss), Meritorious Service Star (mss), Distinguished Service Star (dss), Pass Staff Course (psc) and Fellow War College (fwc). He also won an award at the Command and Staff College Jaji for the best original article contributed to the College Eagle Yearly Magazine.

AVM A. Awarun (Rtd) attended National War College in August 2001, awarded Fellow War College in July 2002 and thereafter deployed to 320 Technical Training Group (TTG) Kaduna as Commander from 2003 to 2007. He was instrumental to the transformation of 320 TTG to Air Force Institute of Technology, (AFIT) Kaduna, before he was deployed as the Air Officer Commanding Nigeria Air Force Logistics Command, Ikeja in July 2007. He retired from the Nigerian Air Force after 35 years of meritorious service in June 2008.

Professor Daniel Oray Nnamdi Obikwelu graduated from University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Chemistry in 1975. He obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering in 1979 (Best graduating MS student) from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, USA and in 1982 from Michigan State University, E. Lansing, Michigan, USA respectively.

Prof. D.O.N. Obikwelu was a member of Standards for Steel of Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) from 1983 and 2005. He was the General Secretary of the Nigerian Metallurgical Association 1984. He was a coordinator, Workshop Practices, Shell Petroleum Development firm, Warri from 2000 and 2006. He has been the Chief Inspector, Regulation Monitoring of Engineering Practice for the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) from 2006 to date.

Engr. Prof. DON Obikwelu’s areas of specialization and competencies include experimental techniques, finite element modeling, new and advanced materials, titanium alloys, refractory materials, nanotechnology, phase transformation, powder metallurgy, corrosion and degradation of materials. He is a productive researcher and a prolific writer.

Prof. DON Obikwelu was Head of Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was Federal Government of Nigeria Scholar: 1966 – 1970, 1976 – 1981. He was awarded American Navy Fellowship Grant in 1982 and Molybdenum Climax Award, Wayne State University, Michigan. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) adjudged as the best Fellow of the year 2002/2003 by the NSE College of Fellows. Eunice AnuOluwapo Funke OYEBADE (nee ADEGBAYE) in Ondo, Ondo State, Nigeria, attend the prestigious St. Louis Secondary School, Ondo between 1967 and 1971. She graduated with Second Class Upper Division in Education Botany from the University of Ibadan in 1978, obtained Master’s degree in Education Administration in 1985 from University of Benin, Benin City and bagged a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management from the University of Ado Ekiti in 2000.

Oyebade rose through the rank as Administrative Officer 1 in 1982 and served a two term of five (5) years each at the apex of her career from 2001 – 2011 as Registrar of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. Oyebade is a brilliant and a much sought after speaker at conferences and seminars. She has written several articles and contributed to books in addition to editing; Administration of University Education: A professional perspective. Oyebade has received several distinguished Awards and certificate of Honour from different organizations including the “Women of the year 2003” from the American Biographical Institute Inc., USA.

Oyebade is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS) and the overall best participant of set 28 of NIPPS (2006). She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Administrators of Nigeria, Fellow of the Institute of Industrialist and Corporate Administration and of the Managers Institute of Chartered Training. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administration (ANUPA), and an International member of the Association of University Administrators (AUA) United Kingdom and of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO) amongst others. A strong believer in community service, Oyebade has served in executive capacity in groups such as her university professional bodies, church, alumni association and hometown. She was once the National Vice-Chairman of the Committee of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (CORNU).

A well-travelled Administrator, Oyebade has visited the United States of America, United Kingdom, South Africa, Israel, Kenya, Ghana and Liberia amongst others. She is committed to professionalism. Oyebade enjoys reading and counselling. She is currently the Register of University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State, Nigeria.
